What is ToolBench?

ToolBench is a collection of free online tools for everyday jobs: formatting JSON, merging PDF files, resizing images, generating QR codes, writing meta tags, picking colours and more. Every tool opens instantly in your browser, with no account and no installation.

Your files stay on your device

Most tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you merge a PDF, compress a photo or format code, the data is processed on your own device and is not sent to our servers. That keeps your work private and makes the tools fast.

Who uses it

YouTube creators use the thumbnail, title and tag tools. Marketers and site owners use the SEO generators. Developers use the formatters, encoders and hash tools. Students and office workers use the PDF, image and calculator tools. Each tool page explains what it does, how to use it and answers common questions.

Frequently asked questions

Is ToolBench really free?
Yes. All tools are free to use with no sign-up and no usage limits. The site may show advertising to cover running costs.
Do you store my files or text?
No. Tool input stays in your browser. We only keep anonymous counts of page views and tool usage.
A tool is not working. What should I do?
Reload the page, try an up-to-date browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, and contact us at contact@toolsbench.uk with details if the problem continues.
Can I suggest a new tool?
Yes, email your idea to contact@toolsbench.uk.

YT-01 / YOUTUBE THUMBNAIL DOWNLOADER YouTube Thumbnail Downloader

Paste a YouTube video link to get every available thumbnail resolution, from HD down to the smallest size, with direct download links.

YOUTUBE VIDEO LINK

About this tool

Every YouTube video has several automatically generated thumbnail images. This tool takes a video link and shows each available size, from the full 1280x720 version down to the small 120x90 preview, so you can save the one you need for reference, research or a thumbnail comparison.

How to use it

  1. Copy the video link from your browser or from YouTube's Share button.
  2. Paste it into the box and click Get Thumbnails.
  3. Click Download under the size you want.

Tips and common uses

Use downloaded thumbnails to study how competitors in your niche design theirs, then create your own original version at 1280x720.

Frequently asked questions

Which links work?
Standard watch links, youtu.be short links, Shorts links and embed links.
Why is the largest size missing?
Some videos, especially older or low-resolution ones, never had a 1280x720 image, so only smaller sizes appear.
Can I reuse any thumbnail?
Thumbnails belong to the video's creator. Use them for reference or with permission, not as your own artwork.

YT-02 / YOUTUBE TITLE GENERATOR YouTube Title Generator

Type your video topic and get a list of proven, click-worthy title formats you can tweak and use.

VIDEO TOPIC

About this tool

Choosing a title is one of the hardest parts of publishing a video. Enter your topic and this tool builds a set of title formats that creators commonly use, such as guides, lists, how-to and challenge titles, which you can then edit to match your own voice.

How to use it

  1. Type your video topic, for example 'home workouts'.
  2. Click Generate Titles.
  3. Pick a format you like and rewrite it so it fits your actual video.

Tips and common uses

Generate several options, then combine the best parts. Put the main keyword early and check the title still reads well on a phone.

Frequently asked questions

Are these titles guaranteed to get views?
No. They are starting points. A title only works if the video delivers what it promises.
How long should a title be?
Aim for roughly 60 characters so it is not cut off in search results.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
YT-03 / YOUTUBE TAG GENERATOR YouTube Tag Generator

Enter your main keyword to generate a ready-to-paste set of SEO-friendly tags for the YouTube tags field.

MAIN KEYWORD

About this tool

Tags are keywords you add in YouTube Studio that help describe your video. This tool turns one main keyword into a set of related variations, such as tutorial, tips, beginner and review phrases, ready to paste into the tags field.

How to use it

  1. Enter your main keyword.
  2. Click Generate Tags.
  3. Click Copy Tags and paste the list into YouTube Studio under Show more, then Tags.

Tips and common uses

Start with your exact topic, then add one or two common variations. Put the most important tag first.

Frequently asked questions

Do tags still matter?
They play a small role, mostly for misspellings and context. Your title, description and thumbnail matter far more.
How many tags should I use?
A handful of accurate tags is better than a long list of loosely related ones.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
YT-04 / YOUTUBE HASHTAG GENERATOR YouTube Hashtag Generator

Turn a keyword or phrase into a set of relevant hashtags for your video title and description.

KEYWORD OR PHRASE

About this tool

Hashtags in a video's title or description appear as clickable links on YouTube. This tool converts a keyword or phrase into several hashtag variations so you can pick the few that fit your content.

How to use it

  1. Enter a keyword or short phrase.
  2. Click Generate Hashtags.
  3. Copy the ones you want into your description or title.

Tips and common uses

Use hashtags that truly describe the video. Three or fewer, placed in the description, is a safe habit.

Frequently asked questions

How many hashtags should I add?
Use a few relevant ones. YouTube ignores all hashtags on a video that has an excessive number.
Do spaces work in hashtags?
No. The tool joins words together, for example 'street food' becomes #StreetFood.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

SEO-01 / SEO KEYWORD FINDER SEO Keyword Finder

Enter a seed keyword to generate a spread of long-tail keyword ideas using common search modifiers.

SEED KEYWORD

About this tool

Long-tail keywords are longer, more specific search phrases that are often easier to rank for. Enter a seed keyword and this tool combines it with common modifiers such as 'best', 'how to', 'for beginners' and 'near me' to suggest ideas worth researching.

How to use it

  1. Type a seed keyword that describes your topic.
  2. Click Find Keywords.
  3. Copy the list and check promising phrases in a search engine or keyword planner.

Tips and common uses

Choose phrases that match what a page can really answer. A specific question usually brings better visitors than a broad term.

Frequently asked questions

Does this show search volume?
No. It generates phrase ideas only. Use Google Search Console or a keyword planner to check real demand.
What is a good seed keyword?
A short phrase for your main topic, such as 'coffee shop' or 'yoga mat'.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

SEO-02 / META TAG GENERATOR Meta Tag Generator

Fill in your page details to generate title, description and Open Graph meta tags ready to paste into your HTML head.

PAGE TITLE
PAGE URL
DESCRIPTION
KEYWORDS (comma separated)
IMAGE URL (for social sharing)

About this tool

Meta tags tell search engines and social networks how to describe your page. This generator produces the title, description, keywords, canonical link, Open Graph and Twitter Card tags from a few fields, with special characters escaped correctly.

How to use it

  1. Fill in the page title, URL, description and optional keywords and image URL.
  2. Click Generate Meta Tags.
  3. Copy the result and paste it inside the <head> section of your page.

Tips and common uses

Give every page a unique title and description, and confirm the image URL is public so social previews show it.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a description be?
About 150 to 160 characters, so it is not truncated in results.
Is the keywords tag important?
Google ignores it. It is included only for other tools that still read it.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

SEO-03 / SITEMAP GENERATOR Sitemap Generator

Paste one URL per line to generate a valid XML sitemap you can upload to your site's root folder.

URLS (one per line)
CHANGE FREQUENCY
PRIORITY

About this tool

An XML sitemap lists the pages of your website so search engines can find them. Paste your URLs, pick a change frequency and priority, and this tool outputs a valid sitemap.xml with special characters such as & escaped.

How to use it

  1. Paste one full URL per line.
  2. Choose a change frequency and priority.
  3. Click Generate Sitemap, copy the XML, save it as sitemap.xml and upload it to your site's root.

Tips and common uses

List only the canonical, working pages you want indexed, and regenerate the file whenever you add or remove pages.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I submit it?
In Google Search Console under Sitemaps, and reference it in your robots.txt file.
Do I need priority and frequency?
Search engines treat them as hints at most. A correct list of URLs is what matters.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
SEO-04 / ROBOTS.TXT GENERATOR Robots.txt Generator

Set which paths search engines can crawl and generate a ready-to-use robots.txt file.

USER AGENT
SITEMAP URL
DISALLOW PATHS (one per line, leave blank to allow everything)

About this tool

The robots.txt file tells crawlers which parts of your site they may visit. Choose a user agent, list any paths to block and add your sitemap address, and this tool writes the file for you.

How to use it

  1. Leave the user agent as * to apply to all crawlers.
  2. Enter any paths to block, one per line, or leave blank to allow everything.
  3. Click Generate, copy the text and save it as robots.txt in your site's root folder.

Tips and common uses

Be careful with Disallow: blocking a folder by mistake can hide your whole site from search engines. Test the file after uploading.

Frequently asked questions

Does Disallow hide a page from Google?
Not reliably. A blocked page can still be listed if others link to it. Use a noindex tag to keep a page out of results.
Where must the file be?
At the top level of your domain, for example example.com/robots.txt.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

DEV-01 / HTML EDITOR HTML Editor

Write HTML on the left and see a live preview on the right. Everything runs locally in your browser.

HTML SOURCE
LIVE PREVIEW

About this tool

A simple live HTML editor for quick experiments. Type HTML on the left and the rendered result updates instantly on the right, which is handy for testing snippets, email layouts or learning how tags behave.

How to use it

  1. Type or paste HTML into the source box.
  2. Watch the preview update as you type.
  3. Copy your code when you are happy with it.

Tips and common uses

Great for prototyping an email block or learning tags. Save your finished code in a proper file, since the editor does not store it.

Frequently asked questions

Is my code saved?
No. Everything stays in your browser and is lost when you close the page, so copy your work.
Can I use JavaScript?
The preview runs in a sandboxed frame. Simple pages work, but complex scripts may be limited.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

DEV-02 / CSS MINIFIER CSS Minifier

Strip comments and extra whitespace from your CSS to reduce file size before deploying.

How to use it

  1. Paste your CSS into the input box.
  2. Click Minify.
  3. Copy the compact output into your production stylesheet.

Tips and common uses

Minify only for production and keep the readable version in your project. Re-test your pages after replacing the file.

Frequently asked questions

Will it change how my site looks?
It should not, but always test the minified file. Keep your original CSS as the source of truth.
Does it rename classes?
No. Only comments and spacing are removed.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
DEV-03 / JAVASCRIPT MINIFIER JavaScript Minifier

A lightweight minifier that removes comments and extra whitespace. For production bundles, pair this with a build tool — this is best for small snippets.

INPUT JAVASCRIPT
OUTPUT

About this tool

This tool compresses JavaScript using Terser, a widely used minifier. It removes comments and whitespace and shortens local variable names to produce a smaller file for production.

How to use it

  1. Paste your JavaScript.
  2. Click Minify and wait for the library to load.
  3. Copy the output. Syntax errors are reported if the code cannot be parsed.

Tips and common uses

Keep source files readable and minify only the build output. For large projects, use a bundler that also creates source maps.

Frequently asked questions

Why did I get an error?
Terser needs valid JavaScript. Check for missing brackets or unsupported syntax in the message shown.
Is my code uploaded?
No. Minification runs in your browser.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
DEV-04 / JSON FORMATTER JSON Formatter

Paste your JSON to have it neatly indented, or minify it down to a single line. Everything happens in your browser.

INPUT
OUTPUT

About this tool

JSON copied from an API or log is often one long line. This formatter indents it so you can read it, or minifies it again for compact storage, and reports the problem if the JSON is invalid.

How to use it

  1. Paste your JSON into the input box.
  2. Click Format to indent it, or Minify to compress it.
  3. Copy the result.

Tips and common uses

Format before debugging so nesting is visible. Use Minify when you need to paste JSON into a URL, config or request.

Frequently asked questions

What does an error message mean?
It points to where the parser failed. Common causes are trailing commas, single quotes and missing quotes around keys.
Is there a size limit?
No fixed limit, but very large files may be slow in the browser.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
DEV-05 / JSON VALIDATOR JSON Validator

Check whether your JSON is well-formed and get a quick structural summary — no formatting, just validation.

INPUT

About this tool

Check quickly whether a piece of JSON is well-formed. If it is valid, the tool tells you the root type and how many keys or items it contains; if not, it shows the parser error.

How to use it

  1. Paste the JSON.
  2. Click Validate.
  3. Read the result below the button.

Tips and common uses

Validate after every manual edit of a config file. Even one missing quote will stop an app from reading it.

Frequently asked questions

Does it check a schema?
No. It only checks that the syntax is valid JSON.
Are comments allowed?
No. Standard JSON does not support comments.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
DEV-06 / XML FORMATTER XML Formatter

Paste minified or messy XML to get a clean, indented, readable version.

INPUT
OUTPUT

About this tool

Paste minified or messy XML and get a clean, indented version that is easier to read and review. The tool first checks the XML is well-formed.

How to use it

  1. Paste your XML.
  2. Click Format.
  3. Copy the indented output.

Tips and common uses

Formatted XML makes diffs and code reviews easier. Format first, then compare versions with the Text Compare tool.

Frequently asked questions

Why is formatting refused?
The XML must be well-formed first. Use the XML Validator to find the error.
Does it change my data?
Only whitespace between tags changes.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
DEV-07 / XML VALIDATOR XML Validator

Check whether your XML document is well-formed and locate parsing errors.

How to use it

  1. Paste the XML.
  2. Click Validate.
  3. Fix any error shown and validate again.

Tips and common uses

Check well-formedness before importing XML into another system, such as a feed, sitemap or configuration file.

Frequently asked questions

Is this DTD or schema validation?
No. It checks well-formedness only.
Common mistakes?
Unclosed tags, mismatched tag names and unescaped & or < characters.

IMG-01 / IMAGE COMPRESSOR Image Compressor

Shrink an image's file size by adjusting JPEG quality, right in your browser.

SELECT IMAGE
QUALITY (0.1 – 1.0)

About this tool

Reduce an image's file size by lowering JPEG quality. Transparent areas are filled with white because JPEG does not support transparency. The tool shows the approximate new size.

How to use it

  1. Select an image.
  2. Move the quality slider. Around 0.7 is a good balance.
  3. Click Compress and download the result.

Tips and common uses

Frequently asked questions

Will quality drop?
Slightly. Lower quality means a smaller file, so compare the result before using it.
Does it keep PNG transparency?
No. The output is a JPG with a white background.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

How to use it

  1. Enter the text or URL part.
  2. Click Encode.
  3. Copy the encoded output.

Tips and common uses

Encode each parameter value separately before joining them into a query string, so symbols like & and = do not break it.

Frequently asked questions

Should I encode a whole URL?
Usually encode only values, such as the text after q=, otherwise characters like / and ? are encoded too.
What does %20 mean?
It is an encoded space.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
DEV-11 / URL DECODER URL Decoder

Decode a percent-encoded URL back into readable text.

Tips and common uses

Decode tracking links and redirects to see where they really lead, especially before sharing or opening them.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I get an error?
A stray % that is not followed by two hex digits makes the input invalid.
Is decoding safe?
Yes, but do not open links you do not trust.

DEV-12 / HASH GENERATOR Hash Generator

Generate MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 hashes for any text, all at once.

INPUT TEXT

About this tool

A hash is a fixed-length fingerprint of some text. This tool calculates MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 at once, which is useful for checksums and comparing values.

How to use it

  1. Enter your text.
  2. Click Generate Hashes.
  3. Copy the hash you need.

Tips and common uses

Hash a download's text or value and compare it with the publisher's checksum to confirm nothing changed.

Frequently asked questions

Can a hash be reversed?
Not directly, but weak hashes like MD5 can be guessed. Do not use MD5 or SHA-1 for passwords.
Are results the same everywhere?
Yes, the same text always gives the same hash.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
DEV-13 / MD5 GENERATOR MD5 Generator

Generate an MD5 hash for any piece of text.

INPUT TEXT

About this tool

How to use it

  1. Enter text.
  2. Click Generate MD5.
  3. Copy the 32-character result.

Tips and common uses

Use MD5 only for non-security tasks such as quick change detection. Choose SHA-256 when integrity matters.

Frequently asked questions

Is MD5 secure?
No. It is broken for security uses. Choose SHA-256 or a password hashing function instead.
Is the text sent anywhere?
No, it is calculated in your browser.

All processing happens in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is uploaded to our servers.

← Back to Tools
DEV-14 / SHA256 GENERATOR SHA256 Generator

Generate a SHA-256 hash for any piece of text.

How to use it

  1. Enter text.
  2. Click Generate SHA-256.
  3. Copy the 64-character result.

Tips and common uses

SHA-256 is a good choice for checksums and integrity checks. Remember that identical input always gives an identical hash.

Frequently asked questions

Is SHA-256 good for passwords?
Not on its own. Use a slow password hashing method such as bcrypt or Argon2.
Why did one letter change the whole hash?
Hashes are designed so tiny input changes produce completely different output.

← Back to Blog What Is JSON and How to Fix the Most Common JSON Errors

Published October 2026 · By the ToolBench team

JSON, short for JavaScript Object Notation, is a text format for storing and sending data. Websites use it to talk to servers, apps use it for settings, and APIs use it to return results. It is popular because it is easy for people to read and easy for programs to parse.

How JSON is built

JSON has only a few building blocks. An object is a set of named values written inside curly braces. An array is an ordered list inside square brackets. Values can be text in double quotes, numbers, true, false, null, or another object or array. A small example looks like this: {"name": "Sara", "age": 29, "skills": ["design", "writing"]}.

The errors people hit most often

Most broken JSON comes from a handful of mistakes. Knowing them lets you fix a file in seconds.

A simple way to debug

Start by pasting the data into a validator. A good one tells you the position where parsing failed, which is usually at or just after the real mistake. Fix that one problem, validate again, and repeat. Once the JSON is valid, run it through a formatter so each level is indented. Indentation makes the structure visible, so you can see at a glance whether a value sits in the right object.

Format versus minify

Formatting adds spaces and line breaks for people. Minifying removes them to make the file smaller, which is useful when you send data over a network. The data itself is identical either way.

Keep sensitive data safe

API responses and config files can contain tokens, emails or other private details. Prefer tools that process data in your browser rather than uploading it, and avoid pasting real secrets into any website you do not trust.

The ToolBench JSON Formatter and JSON Validator both run locally in your browser, so you can check your data without sending it anywhere.

← Back to Blog How to Make Better YouTube Thumbnails: A Practical Checklist

Published October 2026 · By the ToolBench team

A thumbnail and a title are the first things a viewer sees. Together they decide whether someone clicks. A good thumbnail does not need advanced design skills, only clarity and a few repeatable habits.

Get the technical basics right

YouTube recommends a thumbnail of 1280 by 720 pixels, in a 16:9 ratio, with a minimum width of 640 pixels. Files must be under 2 MB and can be JPG, PNG or GIF. Make your image the right size from the start so it is not stretched or cropped. If your artwork is the wrong size, an image resizer fixes it, and a compressor helps if the file is over the limit.

Design for a small screen

Most people see thumbnails on a phone or in a crowded list of suggested videos, so they appear very small. Check your design at a small size before uploading. If you cannot tell what it shows, simplify it.

Faces and emotion

Close-up faces with a clear expression often draw attention because people respond to emotion. Use this only when it fits your content; a tutorial about spreadsheets may be better served by a clear screenshot of the result.

Be honest

A thumbnail should match the video. Misleading images may get a click, but viewers leave quickly, which can hurt how your video performs and damages trust. Show the real topic or outcome.

Study before you design

Search for your topic and look at the thumbnails that rank. Notice the colours, text size and layout, and look for a gap you can fill by being clearer or different. A thumbnail downloader lets you save these images at several sizes to review side by side, for research. Remember that thumbnails belong to their creators, so use them for study, not as your own artwork.

Test and improve

Pick a consistent style so your channel looks recognisable, then change one thing at a time, such as the text colour or the crop. Over several videos you will see which choices work for your audience.

How to Reduce Image File Size Without Losing Visible Quality

Published October 2026 · By the ToolBench team

Large images are one of the most common reasons a web page loads slowly. They also eat up email limits and phone storage. The good news is that most photos can be made much smaller with little visible difference, if you take the steps in the right order.

Step 1: Resize to the size you need

A photo straight from a phone can be 4000 pixels wide, but a blog image is often shown at 800 to 1200 pixels. Sending the extra pixels wastes data. Resize the image to the largest size it will actually be displayed at. This single step often cuts the file size by more than half.

Step 2: Choose the right format

A photo saved as PNG is usually much bigger than the same photo as JPG, so converting it can save a lot of space.

Step 3: Adjust compression quality

When you save a JPG you can set a quality level. Around 70 to 80 percent is often a good balance between size and appearance. Below about 50 percent, blocky patches and fuzzy edges start to show. Always compare the result with the original at full size.

A note on transparency

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become a solid colour, commonly white. If you need transparency, keep the PNG or use WebP.

Keep your original

Lossy compression discards data permanently, and saving a JPG again and again lowers quality each time. Keep an untouched original and always export compressed copies from it.

Quick checklist

Browser-based tools can do all of this without uploading your pictures. The ToolBench Image Resizer, Image Compressor and format converters run locally on your device.

← Back to Blog How to Write a Good Meta Title and Meta Description

Published October 2026 · By the ToolBench team

When your page appears in search results, the blue headline and the short text under it usually come from two HTML tags: the title tag and the meta description. They are small, but they are often the first impression people get of your site.

The title tag

The title is the clickable headline in results and also appears in browser tabs. Good titles are specific and honest. As a rough guide, keep them around 50 to 60 characters so they are not cut off, put the most important words first, and include the main topic people would search for. Give every page its own title; repeating the same one across a site confuses both visitors and search engines.

The meta description

The description is a summary of the page. It does not directly raise your ranking, but a clear, helpful one can improve how many people click. Aim for about 150 to 160 characters. Describe what the visitor will get, use natural language, and avoid stuffing in keywords. Write it as a short promise that the page keeps.

Examples

Weak: "Home - Tools". Better: "Free Online Tools for PDFs, Images and Developers | ToolBench".

Common mistakes

Remember that search engines may rewrite them

Google sometimes shows a different title or description if it believes another part of the page better matches the search. That is normal. Writing good ones still gives you the best chance of showing your own wording.

Social sharing tags

Open Graph and Twitter Card tags control how a link looks when shared on social networks, including the title, summary and image. It is worth adding them to important pages.

Putting it into practice

Write your text, check its length, and place the tags inside the head section of your page. A meta tag generator creates the full set, including the social tags, and escapes special characters so quotation marks do not break your HTML. A character counter helps you stay within the recommended lengths.

← Back to Blog How to Create and Manage Strong Passwords That You Can Actually Use

Published October 2026 · By the ToolBench team

Most account break-ins happen because of weak or reused passwords, not clever hacking. The good news is that the habits that protect you are simple.

Length beats complexity

Attackers use programs that try huge numbers of guesses. Each extra character makes that job far harder. A random password of 14 to 16 characters or more is much stronger than a short one full of substitutions such as swapping a for @. Predictable tricks are already built into cracking tools.

Make every password unique

If you reuse a password and one website is breached, attackers try the same email and password on other services. This is called credential stuffing and it is very common. Use a different password for each account, starting with the important ones: email, banking and social media.

Let randomness do the work

People are poor at inventing random text. A generator that uses your browser's secure random source produces passwords that have no pattern to guess. Choose a length, tick the character types you want, and generate. If a site rejects some symbols, untick symbols or lengthen the password instead.

Use a password manager

Nobody can remember dozens of random passwords, and writing them in a notes file is risky. A password manager stores them encrypted behind one strong master password and fills them in for you. Make the master password a long phrase of several unrelated words that you can remember.

Turn on two-step login

Two-step verification adds a second check, such as a code from an authenticator app. Even if someone learns your password, they still cannot log in. Enable it on email first, because email is used to reset other accounts.

Things to avoid

What to do after a breach

If a service tells you it was breached, change that password immediately, change it anywhere else you reused it, and watch the account for unusual activity.

The ToolBench Password Generator creates random passwords in your browser, and nothing you generate is sent or stored.
